Vaccinations for Kids

Vaccines help protect children from serious and potentially life-threatening diseases. They contain weakened or inactive forms of the germs that cause illness, which safely teach the body’s immune system how to recognize and fight these infections if your child is ever exposed in the future.

Vaccination is one of the safest and most effective ways to prevent infectious diseases. Thanks to routine immunization, illnesses that once harmed many children—such as smallpox, polio, measles, and tetanus—are now rare or have been eliminated in many parts of the world.

Before any vaccine is approved for use, it undergoes extensive research, testing, and safety monitoring. In the United States, vaccines are carefully reviewed and regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and CDC to ensure they meet strict safety and effectiveness standards.

Our pediatric team is always happy to answer your questions and help you feel confident about your child’s care. Vaccinating your child not only protects them, but also helps protect other children and families in our community.

RSV & Flu Vaccine?

We also offer protection against seasonal respiratory illnesses that commonly affect young children. Our clinic provides immunization for Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), which is recommended for newborns and infants up to about 8 months of age during their first RSV season to help prevent severe lung infections. Your baby can receive this immunization typically at their newborn, 2 week, or one month well-child check.

In addition, we offer the annual flu vaccine for all children 6 months of age and older to help protect against influenza and reduce the risk of serious complications. These vaccines are an important way to keep your child healthy, especially during the fall and winter months when respiratory illnesses are more common.
